Theme

You can define your own color theme for the application. There are two default themes: light green and dark green.

View functions

• Change the active theme
  • You can change the active theme from the title bar menu control
  • You can change the active theme also from the title bar menu control of the main menu
• Add a new theme
  • You can add a new theme from the plus control
• Delete a theme
  • The default themes cannot be deleted
  • The active theme cannot be deleted

Field descriptions

• Id
  • New themes are numbered automatically
  • You cannot change the id
• Name
  • You can change the name of the theme you have added
  • You cannot change the names of the default themes
• Lightness
  • The theme is defined light or dark when it is created
  • You can change this, but the outcome is probably not useful
  • You cannot change the lightness of the default themes
• In use
  • The active theme has a check mark on this field
  • You can change the active theme from the title bar menu
• Color fine adjustment
  • When the theme is created the colors get their default values. You can adjust the values from six category controls. Every category has two controls: color and hue. This model is a compromise between adjustability and ease of use.
  • Background
    • This is the main background color of the views
    • In a light theme, you should pick a light color and in a dark theme a dark color
  • Text 1
    • This is the text color for example menu texts, label texts and read-only data fields
    • In a light theme, you should pick a dark hue and in a dark theme a light hue
  • Text 2
    • This is the text color for example writeable data fields
    • In a light theme, you should pick a darker color than in Text 1, in a dark theme the hue should be on the lighter side
  • Color 1
    • This is the background of the writeable data fields
    • In a light theme, you should pick a light hue and in a dark theme a darker hue
  • Color 2
    • This is the background color of the many efects in reports
    • Lighter hue in light theme and a bit darker in dark theme
  • Accent
    • This is the color of the active row in lists in Account view and Voucher view
    • Lighter hue in light theme and darker in dark theme
